Island City Park Sustainable Landscape Planning And Design

The sea island is a new hotspot in the current development of China's construction along with the island park construction.However,the environment of sea island has problems of vulnerability,low ecological carrying capacity and restoration difficulties after the destruction.These problems affect the sustainable development of island park landscape construction.Therefore,this paper focuses on the research and design of building a sustainable island park landscape.Firstly literature research method is employed to interpret what sea islands and island parks are and the concepts of landscape planning and design,sustainable landscape as well as sustainable landscape design;to summarize related researches in island park landscape at home and abroad.Case analysis method is employed to analyze related cases of island parks at home and abroad so as to sum up experience that could be used as reference.Theories of sustainable landscape development,restoration ecology,environmental psychology,low technology and ecological aesthetics will be researched.Secondly,the driving and restraining factors on the sustainable development of island parks are analyzed briefly as well as the sustainable planning and design strategies for building island park landscape are put forward,explaining from the sustainable utilization of natural resources and landscape space,the sustainable inheritance of human resources and the sustainable conservation of economic resources.Finally,based on the above research and design strategies,Pingtan Island's social environment,climate,hydrology and natural resources will be discussed.With integrity,sustainability,energy-saving,ecological protection,regionalism and functional diversity as the design principles,the sustainable development of island park landscape will be achieved combining with the following philosophies,namely continual design of the natural ecological,functional-diversified design,inheritable design of historical legends,landscape aesthetics design,and giving consideration to both economic and social benefits.The maintenance fee at a late stage would be saved by using indigenous plants and adaptive plants.A sustainable-developed park which is ecological health,economic savings and occupying a large space will be built for visitors.
