For rivers and lakes locate all over our country,water management is a huge project with the continuous development of social economy and the strengthening of ecological environmental protection,the technical level and requirements of water management are also greatly improved.As the key component of water management projects,the engineering of riverbank protection need to ensure the stability of the slope,avoid soil erosion and consider the function of ecological protection.Therefore,articulated concrete block revetment system,a kind of technology meeting all requirements mentioned above,has been widely used in recent years.This paper summarized the existing design method of interlocking concrete block revetment and failure mode.It also lists the relevant calculation formula.Relying on two typical protects of articulated concrete block revetment system,Denglou lock approach engineering of Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and Datun plain reservoirs engineering of South-to-North water diversion project,the design method,stability analysis and durability analysis of articulated concrete block revetment system are studied based on theoretical analysis,laboratory experiments and numerical simulation in this paper.The conclusions are as following:(1)According to the influence on the stability of different design forms,the common articulated concrete blocks are classified through experiments and numerical simulation.The application recommendations of different design forms are obtained.(2)The test device applicable to load on a variety kinds of articulated concrete blocks is designed to test the interlocking strength and failure forms quickly for articulated concrete block,which can be help to design and improve the form of articulated concrete block.(3)Through the joint modeling of two kinds of finite element software ADINA and ABAQUS,the loading method of ship wave in numerical simulation is improved.And then the deformation characteristics and failure forms of riverbank protection system using articulated concrete block with different shape,size,thickness and open ratio in different operating conditions,such as ship wave with different peak line and shore line angle,are obtained.According to the results of numerical simulation,the thickness of articulated concrete block is the primary factor that affects the stability of the riverbank protection system.Besides,the angle between peak line and shore line should be used as an important parameter to reduce the ship wave pressure.(4)In order to solve the problem of freezing and thawing damage in North China in winter,the laboratory test of freeze-thaw damage of concrete was carried out.The effects of water-cement ratio,fly ash content and admixture content on frost resistance,surface damage,mass loss,relative elastic modulus and compressive strength of concrete were studied,which provides the basis for the mixture ratio design of articulated concrete block.
