The bearing that connected the upper part and under part of bridge is an essential structural component of bridge engineering,and it delivered to bridge's under part equably the force which is generated from the upper part.Then the rigid contact between upper and under part turned into kinds of flexible contact.Recently,Chinese transportation level has increased obviously,and the high-speed rail technology has upgraded as well.High-speed rails covered our homeland rapidly and widely.According to this situation,it led to the difference of working conditions between the bearings which were located in different places.Hence it needed the scientists to keep studying in bearing optimization and innovation to satisfy the enormous demand of various bridge bearingsIn recent years,the traditional bearings which were producted abundantly were pot bearing and spherical bearing.The pot bearing behaved well in the ability about vertical load bearing,and it could work under the condition that the load was steady as well.The spherical bearing was excellent in vertical load bearing with a very low coefficient of friction and a large rotation range.It was good at seismic isolation.Even though the trading of the bearing development was that the spherical bearing was replacing pot bearing gradually,the pot bearing had a good load ability in some conditions.This paper mixed the pot bearing and spherical to maximize their advantages and minimize their shortages,and propose a new bearing structrual design.The new design combined the upper plate of spherical bearing and under plate of pot bearing with four pins.This new bearing would work as a pot bearing when the load was not large enough and as a spherical bearing when the load was huge enough.There also were many necessary calculation about this innovation in this paper.Many study about the tribological property had proved that the calculation about the new design was conformed to the national standard,which was proposed in this paper.And this paper also demonstrated the simulation which was finished by CAD software,it included the 3D modelling,stress analysis,transient analysis and hysteretic curve.The result of simulation proved that the main component of this bearing could work at standard conditions.The main innovation points of this paper is as follows:(1)When high-speed rail bridge worked in the normal conditions,the load was not huge and the bearing worked as pot bearing.If the earthquake and the strong wind occured,the bearing should work as a spherical bearing to satisfy the demand of load.(2)According to the function transformation in different conditions,it used four pins to locate the plate.(3)Because the material of the spherical plate of traditional spherical bearing was stainless steel which was very expensive.The former material was raplaced by a cheaper material with the equal load ability.And the trial tribological property of this new spherical plate was proposed as well.This paper tried to use new ways to study and new method to design bearing in order to give new standard to the late study.
