City parks are fundamental natural landscape elements in an urban ecological system. As an important part of the recreational activities of urban residents, city parks bring ecological, economic, and social benefits. The demand of urban residents for city parks increases along with the rapid development of urbanization. Therefore, apart from the number of urban parks, the quick and easy access to city parks for leisure activities should be given attention.Once accessibility of city parks becomes a research hot spot,an increasing number of scholars can evaluate service accessibility. In this study,we use the network analysis model of ArcGIS to build origin-destination cost matrix and obtain all the network distances of city park green spaces from each block in Wuhan City. Each jurisdiction park area and specific street population data are considered. The accessibility analysis of street parks is also developed based on the minimum adjacent distance and two-step floating catchment area methods. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Park accessibility in Wuhan City is characterized with spatial variation. Most urban park green spaces are concentrated in central urban areas. The basic blocks with high accessibility are concentrated near the city park, and they present strong spatial coupling relationship with the layout structure of the city park.(2)We observe differences in the park accessibilities of 138 streets based on three transportation means(i.e.,walking,cycling,and bus).Only the accessibilities of East Lake Ecological Tourism Scenic Spot and East Lake High-tech Development Zone are high through walking, cycling, and bus.The accessibilities of the remaining streets based on walking and cycling exhibit substantial internal differences.Few streets possess higher accessibility than other streets.(3)We construct network traffic data sets based on existing bus subway lines and site data in Wuhan City.We analyze the park accessibility of the streets through the adjacent distance and two-step floating catchment area methods.Classification results vary.(4)Compared with other methods, the spatial distribution of population in streets and park green spaces is based on bus mode in accordance with the characteristics of spatial matching. The developed public transportation network in Wuhan City for park accessibility meets the requirements of social equality.(5)Classification results also vary when the location entropy of the park is graded through walking and cycling. The location entropy of the central urban area is higher;the space distribution presents continuously decreasing features from the center to the periphery. The northwest region is higher than the southeast area.
