As a special structure,chimneys are widely used for exhausting the flue gas in the industry.Chimney structures have a certain degree of damage after long-term use and may be partial damaged or totally collapsed under earthquake action which can causes huge economic losses.Based on the finite element method,this thesis studied the seismic fragility of high-rise reinforced concrete chimney under multi-dimensional earthquake,the seismic partitioned fragility of the chimney as well as the effect of ground motion directionality and soil-structure interaction on seismic performance of the chimney respectively.The main research works of this thesis are listed as following:(1)The numerical model of a high-rise reinforced concrete chimney structure is established through the finite element software ABAQUS.Based on the incremental dynamic analysis method,the seismic fragility analysis of the chimney under one-dimensional,two-dimensional and three-dimensional ground motion is performed.Then the damage probability of each damage state and the collapse probabiltiy of the chimney are obtained.(2)Based on the method of seismic partitioned fragility analysis,the damage probability of each part of the chimney structure under one-dimensional,two-dimensional and three-dimensional ground motion is studied and the most dangerous parts of the structure are obtained.(3)The effect of ground motion directionality on the seismic performance of the chimney is studied.Based on seismic fragility analysis,the damage probability of the chimney under three-dimensional ground motion with different input angle is obtained.Then the critical input angle of ground motion for the chimney is discussed from the viewpoint of probability.(4)The refined finite element model of chimney structure considering soil-structure interaction is established.The dynamic characteristic of the chimney and the dynamic responses before and after considering soil-structure interaction are analyzed.The earthquake response of the chimney structure with different soil parameters considering soil-structure interaction is discussed.
