With the rapid development of high-speed trains in China,train safety has become the focus of attention.Due to the occurrence of more fire accidents in train operation in recent years,the research on high-speed train fires has been paid more and more attention by domestic and foreign scholars.However,there are some shortcomings in the study of combustion characteristics such as fire spread,heat release rate and temperature distribution of high-speed train,In this paper,the fire burning characteristics of high-speed train are studied according to the research contents of "High-speed train fire burning characteristics and safe evacuation technology" in the sub-project "High-speed railway constitutive safety technology" of national key research and development project.This paper takes a certain type of high-speed train in our country as the research object,Firstly,the combustion characteristics of combustible materials on high-speed trains were studied by experiments.And the combustion characteristics of the main combustible materials of high-speed trains are tested by cone calorimeter.The parameters such as the ignition time,the heat release rate,the effective combustion heat and the total smoke content of five typical materials were analyzed and compared.combined with the thermal hazards of combustion of materials and the hazards of flue gas put forward five evaluation indicators,and the fire hazards of typical materials is evaluated synthetically by means of analytic hierarchy process.Based on the results,the safety of high-speed train materials is put forward.Then,the FDS software was used to establish the numerical model of high-speed train fire,and the setting and modeling method of grid setting,calculation area division and material heat release rate input method were determined.According to the method of modeling,Modeling the full-size trains based on the modeling used,and compared with the measured data to verify the modeling method for high-speed train fire simulation research reliability.Finally,the fire simulation characteristics of the high-speed trains are simulated by the numerical simulation model of high-speed train fires.The fire burning characteristics such as heat release rate,temperature distribution and fire spread are analyzed and summarized.The fire characteristics of high-speed train fire under different working conditions were obtained by numerical simulation of train fire under different fire sources,different fire sources and different opening factors.The results of this study can provide reference for high-speed train train fire safety design and fire tests.
