Ultrasound transducer is the most frequently used component in medical diagnostic ultrasound system. However, one of the long-time disadvantages of medical diagnostic ultrasound, particularly for sonographers and patients,is the cable that connects the scanning transducer to the ultrasound system. For this reason, the wireless transformation of the transducer is imperative. In the implementation process of the wireless ultrasound transducers, the key issue for researchers is how to use wireless technology to transfer data quickly and stably.A wireless transmission system of medical ultrasound transducer was designed based on giving a wireless data transmission scheme for medical ultrasound transducer in this thesis. The following two main aspects of the work were implemented:(1)Considering that a high transmission rate was required in medical ultrasound transducers,a scheme was given on the basis of analysis and comparison of four mainstream wireless communication protocols. In this scheme, the fifth generation Wi-Fi protocol IEEE 802.11ac was served as the transmission protocol of wireless ultrasound transducer.By setting up wireless transmission environment, the actual bandwidth of wireless devices supporting the IEEE 802.11ac standard as the data transmission protocol was investigated in different transmission distances, transmission duration and driving devices. The results indicated that it was feasible to apply IEEE 802.11ac protocol to wireless ultrasound transducer.(2)A wireless transmission system of medical ultrasound transducer was designed based on ARM Cortex-A7.The high data transmission rate was guaranteed by applying IEEE 802.11 ac,constructing high-speed data transmission channel between FPGA and ARM,and adopting a rate optimization method based on multi thread and double buffering technique. It was indicated that system design had met the rate requirements of medical ultrasound transducers through the actual data transmission tests.
