As the development of the biomedical technology,ultrasound imaging has a big challenge and develop with an inconceivable speed.Ultrasound Doppler flow imaging,Functional imaging of the brain and ultrafast imaging grow increasingly fast under the research of conventional B-mode ultrasound imaging.With the development of GPU,innovatory algorithm and arrival of the big data era,conventional ultrasound imaging can not satisfy the demand of real-time ultrasonic inspection.So a large amount of people set down to research the plane wave imaging algorithm.This paper starts with algorithm of Plane wave.Compare with the conventional multi-focus imaging and plane wave imaging,we analyze the features between them.Then we research advantages and disadvantages through the experimental quantitative comparison like Resolution,Contrast and CNR.Individual plane wave imaging has no focusing but if we use amount of plane waves to add them up coherently,we will find this focusing is performed synthetically no matter in both axial and lateral direction.Its influence changes with the added times and the deflection angles.To analyze the interaction between virtual and ultrasound phantom,we image them based on the Field ? software under MATLAB platform.And through this comparison,we can get more accuracy data.When we use plane waves,it brings not only high frame rate but also huge data.To solve this problem,we can compress the data with spectrum segment algorithm or LZW compression in time domain.A simple method to simulate those two algorithm is to code and run them under software platform and calculate their compression rate.We find the spectrum segment algorithm has a better compression rate but a complex electronic design.LZW algorithm is on the contrary.The accuracy of delay will aspect the coherent algorithm's validity.Through simulating coherent compounding algorithm with different accuracy of delay,we find that the plane wave front satisfies algorithm design if we set a higher accuracy delay.The resolution and contrast grows but a lower lateral resolution performances in the image.Whereas the quality of the image develops with a higher delay accuracy.Eventually,analyzing the importance of the high frame rate by simulating coherent compounding method under Verasonics platform.
