Substation is a very important node for an electric power system.It relates to Power flow distributioin,line loss,stability of power grid and so on.This paper introduces the basic principles of subsation location,and the common method and the model of subsation location.The advantages and problems were analyzed for the multi-objective decision,such as entropy method,gray relational analysis and so on.Then the algorithm is proposed based on improved fuzzy grey relation projection method for subsation location in this paper.The analytic hierarchy process and the entropy method have be integrated into the improved algorithm to compute the subjective weights and the objective weights.This peper has introduced the positive and negative ideal solution.The ideal and worst plan for the grey relation projection distances have be calculated and sorted,in order to find the optimal subsation location form the alternative solutions.The improved grey relation projection method has been used for the Xingan 220kV Substation location.The optimum and worst solution can be found by the model of the Grey relational projection ideal solution which has been built.The positive and negative projection distance must be computed and prioritized in order to find the best location of the substation.The Maoping substation has been chosen as the best location for the Xingan Substation.The actual problems of selecting location substation can be solved.Through the Xingan 220kV Substation location,it is proved that the method which was used in this paper is feasible and practical.
