The LED has the advantages of energy saving,environmental protection,long service life,is called the new generation of green light source.LED developed very fast as lighting source on the land and also makes the LED lighting industry.Ship's lighting is an important guarantee of safe navigation and operation.Traditional lighting application in ship has been very mature.Compare with the LED lighting,the traditional lighting has some disadvantage,such as short service life,higher energy consumption.Based on a VLCC as an example for retrofit lighting system:redisgn the ship's linghng system with LED,and make a comparison on economy,safety.Because of LED lighting' s lower energy consumption,long life but a higher price,it is economic when the lighting is on in a longer time.At same time,design the auto control system with PLC for smarting lighting system.LED luminous principle determines its low voltage,its overall package determine its easily meet the specification requirements of ship.LED lighting,but also has another advantage:LED color temperature range from 2000K to 9000 K,so LED color temperature can be selected,and LED has richness of color,LED can create very good lighting environment for the crew.This can reduce the crew negative psychological depression,tension,irritability,etc.Especially the blue LED,it can improve the sleep quality of the crew,speed up the injury rehabilitation,to cure some common skin disease,and improve the quality of life of the crewBut at present,some of the disadvantages of LED lighting in its not like electronic cylinder lubricator rapidly in popularity,especially heat dissipation problems for high power LED caused by the short life of LED lighting,electrical components of the actual lifespan is short of the theory of life,economic efficiency is not obvious.
