As people's living standard improves, the demand for air conditioning has become more specific and variable. Cooling and heating could satisfy most consumers in the past, but they are now chasing for air conditioning of intelligence, comfort, environmental protection, health and so on. The technology of variable-frequency has been applied to household air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators. The development of household appliances from AC fixed speed to AC variable frequency, and then to DC inverter, which has become a trend, and the market share of DC inverter household appliances will grow bigger. DC inverter technology will allow household appliances become intelligent, efficient, quiet, economic and comfortable. Therefore, the design of a relatively inexpensive motor inverter for air conditioning became a focus of this research.This thesis briefly describes the history of air conditioning and the permanent magnet motor, and introduces the development of domestic inverter air conditioning motor. We propose a new design requirement for the inverter air conditioning motor according to the new APF national annual energy consumption standard, that gives an energy-efficient, low-cost, low vibration and noise main inverter air conditioner motor. This thesis will discuss following aspects.First, the overall design of the motor inverter air conditioner is made according to the size of the inverter air conditioner motor, cost, noise and vibration performance design requirements. An inverter air conditioner motor stator and rotor structure design includes design, finite element electromagnetic field calculation and performance analysis. Then, the design of motor structure is based on a series of factors, including the requirements of the motor in the form of analysis and selection, the number of poles of the motor, the number of phases, the number of slots of the stator, the stator groove, the rotor structure analysis and design. We design several different heights and widths of the stator yoke tooth structure for finite element analysis, and optimize of the motor to get the final structure. Next, JMAG finite element analysis software program is used to analyze the designed scheme, so as to optimize the structure of the motor. In this thesis, tile-shaped ferrite magnetic motor alignment is studied to design the optimal alignment of the magnetic field, so as to improve the performance of the motor without increasing the cost. Finally, demagnetization test, inductance test, performance test is given to the production of prototype. By analyzing the performances of motors with different motor stack height gap, this thesis selects the smallest inductance program. By applying demagnetization test, inductance test, performance test to the rotors with and without counterweight hole, we reveal that the added weight has a positive effect on motor performance, and it can reduce the cost of the motor.The test results of the compressor machine show that the noise and vibration performance of the designed ferrite inverter motor can meet the design requirements. And by comparing with the competitor's motors, the cost of the designed motor in this thesis is lower than it of the competitor's motors.
