Leaf spring is used in the suspension components system for either the trucks or passenger cars and minivans.In engineering applications,the performance of suspension not only plays a key role in improving the steady state performance of vehicle,but also the comfortable and safety.But the performance Depend on the size of the structure parameters of leaf spring.Therefore,the performance and structure parameter of leaf spring whether or not design reasonably is one of the key factors in vehicle design level.In this paper,showing a few types of leaf spring commonly used in minivans,and summary on stage minivans suspension type,and the little piece of variable cross-section leaf spring and the gradient type the structure of leaf spring was analyzed,The method of numerical integration was use to derivate the cross section shape coefficient of leaf spring structure.According to the principle,every spring at the contact point with common coordinates and curvature.The gradual stiffness plate spring was analysis,the pieces of spring was equivalented to the cross section spring,thus it is concluded the structural parameters of gradual rigidity leaf spring;For the leaf spring of variable cross-section,according to the principle of "deformation consistency" in the theory of bending deformation of plate spring,leaf spring deflection and stress was calculated.The paper established a optimal mathematical model of the microbus leaf spring,and the lightweight as the optimization goal,base on the interior point Barrier function method,solving inequality constrained optimization problem,which is the optimization of target value.Take the MATLAB as platform,we write the optimize program and calculated the parameter of leaf spring with the interior point penalty function method,with the results of ABAQUS,the results of this paper not only keep the calculation precision of the leaf spring,also can improve the computation efficiency of leaf spring.Finally,takes into consideration the characteristics of Design process and the habit of designers,take the MATLAB as a platform,the LSD v1.0(Leaf Spring Design,version number is v1.0)software is developed.The software is simply operation,friendly interface,convenient data input,and easily access the data.The results can be directly displayed and also directly Word reports,etc.In conclusion,the characteristics and innovation of in this paper as follows: keep design step in standard,more rapid and efficient,the development of LSD software more quickly,high efficiency and simple operation,no-experience engineer and newly hired employees can also be competent with on training completely.
