With rapid development today,competitions between enterprises are no longer relying on the price,quality and performance of products,but the process.Efficient producing process not only saves more cost for the enterprise while ensuring product quality and value,but also provides products or services of the same quality for clients in a shorter period of time.Nowadays,in constant pursuit of higher client profits,manufacturing enterprises are also pay more attention to their own productivity,to pursue value maximization.In this cycle of continuous improvement,lean production theory and Six Sigma management are reasonably used in every respect.With the increasing tendency towards small batch and diversification in the entire high-end manufacturing industry,production management philosophy also need to be gradually improved and innovated,thus new management philosophy integrating lean production and Six Sigma is derived--Lean Six Sigma.Lean production focuses on the production system,improvement in efficiency and cost reducing,while Six Sigma focuses on quality defect improvement.By mutual complementation of advantages and disadvantages,characteristics of perfectionism of lean production and powerful function of control process variation or fluctuation of Six Sigma management are integrated,so as to continuously improve the entire basic management level of the enterprise and add flexibility of flow.Such kind of production management methodology with thorough combination of theory and practice appears to be more practical and more effective today,in the pursuit of high speed and diversification.Philips Healthcare Suzhou factory was established in 2010,with the opening up of Chinese market,the number of production orders increased quickly,along with many problems occurred in production management,therefore the management team of the company decided to introduce and implement advanced management concepts of Lean Six Sigma.By introducing the concepts and theories of lean production and Six Sigma management,this paper illustrates the necessity and sufficiency of both of them in theory and practice respectively.Through abiding by the DMAIC flow of Lean Six Sigma,this paper introduced and probed into the improvement project of shortening the production cycle of medical digital DR product line,to show how the lean production and Six Sigma management were established in an enterprise and blend together organically on the one hand,and on the other hand,the author used medical digital DR product line as the case,to explain the operation program of Lean Six Sigma in multiple-variety,small-batch and high-value production model,and show the implementation process of lean management means of 6S management,Gemba Walk,Muda elimination,line balance control and so on.During the improvement,a series of testing tooling and fixture for testing the quality of digital image chain independently were developed independently,and stability analysis and verification of the detection system were made with the use of MSA statistical tools,to greatly reduce bottleneck location during producing process,and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of product line efficiency and product quality.In the project implementation improvement,the bottleneck of Lean Six Sigma management in the enterprise was proposed and solutions were given in terms of how to go through the bottleneck period,and how to improve the entire project promotion within the company.
