| The FAW heavy truck is widely used in construction machinery, the cabin thermal comfort is very important because it is closely related tothe driving comfort and driving safety. Good cabin thermal comfort could ensure the comfort of driver’s body,and it is conducive to driving safety by reducing the security risks caused by physical discomfort; It meets the crews’ requirements for cabin comfort, and could improve the ride quality; When trucks were on a long-distance transportation with climate changes, or when there are seasonal changes, it is no doubt that the cabin thermal comfort demand is high in order to ensure a comfortable cabin.In order to meet the requirements of thermal comfort in a relatively closed vehicle compartment, the cabin temperature requires to be adjust and enough fresh air from outside needs replenishing. In addition, it is also of vital importance to deploy the airflow in the small cabin space, the automobile air conditioning, heating and gas distribution systems are the main parts to achieve these goals.This paper take the cabin thermal environment of a FAW heavy truck as the research object, in which the dummy refers to the ready-made dummy model in the STAR-CCM+ Help file. By establishing the cabin simulation model and using the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) method, it used the CFD simulation software STAR-CCM+ to perform numerical simulation about the cabin. Then the distribution of airflow and temperature will be obtained and analyzed to fully assess the cabin thermal comfort, and it is the base to further improve the cabin thermal comfort. On this basis, it optimize the air-conditioning duct system and intake and exhaust positions to optimize the improvement. By using the computer numerical simulation technology, it could contrast the cabin thermal comfort optimization effect, and ultimately get the best optimization scheme. |
