The shaft as the main parts of automobile transmission system, in the process of vehicle transfer movement and torque role, the performance of the high speed rotating the usability and ride comfort of vehicle is very important.This paper will take "some auto parts co., LTD., the truck drive shaft parts processing and assembly process improvement" project as the breakthrough point, through the contrast of parts processing and assembly process, from the outer spline machining process, machining process, sliding pair and intermediate support on the process, the overall drive shaft assembly process, such as internal spline coating process improvement project, to explore the causes of the shaft jitter problem and solution.According to statistics, the shaft jitter in heavy duty truck drive shaft claims mode,accounting for more than 30%. The reason is that the drive shaft has a high-speed rotating performance, and the structure is more complex, so there is an inevitable phenomenon of jitter.Drive shaft jitter there is a lot of harm, the first can produce noise, as the car parts will greatly affect the comfortableness of vehicle; At the same time, also can reduce the transmission efficiency, produce with loose, parts damage, even risk accident.Drive shaft assembly factors of dynamic balance changed a lot, including internal and external spline clearance, universal joint fork, axial end flange, with the precision of transmission shaft in high speed rotating shaft, the elastic deformation of the pipe welding lead off balance sheet, which will make the transmission shaft assembly from its center position, the relative displacement of the bending vibration will occur. At the same time, the inertia force caused by the deviation of the drive shaft in the rotation is the main cause of the bending vibration. When the natural frequency of shaft speed and bending vibration,resonance will appear problem, resulting in a sharp increase in the amplitude, the vehiclechassis system will produce different degrees of shaking, more serious cases will lead to deformation of the transmission shaft or break. At this time, the speed is the critical speed of the drive shaft, which is often referred to as "dangerous speed" ".According to the above analysis, the parts machining and assembly process is an important factor to affect the quality of the transmission shaft assembly. In this paper, through the external spline processing, end tooth processing and assembly process improvement, to improve the quality of the transmission shaft, reduce the claims of three packs, for the purpose of improving the efficiency of enterprises. At present, these process improvement projects have been gradually applied to the production.
