The problem of flood discharge and energy dissipation has been the controlling factor of the layout of high dam hub.The joint of flaring gate pier and stilling basin can be used in high dam energy dissipation to forming stretched water tongue in vertical direction to increased aeraton,and three-dimension water jump with the flow convergence and diffusion on the anti-arc,which can not only improve the energy dissipation rate of traditional energy dissipator,but also shorten the length of the still basin and reduce the investment.At present,this energy dissipation mode has been applied to many projects in China.It is of great theoretical significance and engineering application value to study the hydraulic characteristics of the joint energy dissipation of the flaring gate pier and stilling basin.On the basis of summarizing the previous research results,this paper has carried on the numerical simulation to the three-dimensional flow field of the joint energy dissipator,and explored the effects of different parameters on the hydraulic characteristics of the energy dissipator,and then,combined with the model test results,further study the energy dissipation characteristics of joint energy dissipator.The main research contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)The development and application of the flaring gate pier were summarized,and the influence of the parameters of flaring gate pier on the flow characteristics were clarified,which provided the theoretical basis and ideas for this research.And the validity of the numerical model and the calculation method were verified by the model test.(2)The four parameters of the shrinkage ratio ?,the length of the flaring gate pier l,the height difference between the top point and the starting flaring point h,and the height difference between the starting-flaring point and the upper-shringing point were defined,and 12 kinds of body type of flaring gate pier were designed.The effects of various parameters on the hydraulic characteristics parameters such as flow regime,water surface profile,flow velocity and pressure were studied by numerical simulation.Based on the analysis of the variation law of the flow characteristics of the joint energy dissipitor,the optimal type was recommended.(3)Based on the recommended somatotype,the hydraulic parameters of different working conditions were analyzed to verify that the somatotype was suitable for the project,and further study the variation of the hydraulic parameters,which deepened the understanding of the hydraulic characteristics of the joint energy dissipator.
