The measurement of liquid viscosity is related to the national economic production and people's daily life,it plays an important role in crude oil transportation industry,food processing industry,industry textile industry and medical diagnosis.In this paper,not only the traditional methods of viscosity measurement such as capillary method,rotating method,vibration method and falling ball method are summarized,but also some new methods such as optical fiber,electromagnetic,acoustic and micro mechanical method are introduced,and some new trends are given.In the end,a new method for measuring liquid viscosity based on flexible hinge structure is put forward.This method combines the vibration with the electromagnetic principle,and presents a new parameter which is used to characterize the viscosity of liquid,this opens up a new way to measure the viscosity of liquid.Measuring method of liquid viscosity based on flexure hinge,the main body of the whole device is a parallel quadrilateral flexible hinge mechanism,The electromagnetic induction principle is adopted,and combining with the corresponding electromagnetic signal conditioning circuit and power amplifier circuit,the measuring probe is made to do back and forth movement in the liquid;Labview program is written to achieve real-time display,acquisition and processing of the hinge mechanism probe vibration signal,and the damping factor in the corresponding motion measurement is obtained in order to realize the measurement of liquid viscosity.In the measurement principle,the whole system can be simplified as a spring oscillator model ",through researching the motion characteristics(" frequency-amplitude " or " frequency-phase " or" " damping vibration")of the simple harmonic vibration of the vibration sheet in the fluid viscosity that is influenced by the liquid viscous force,the mathematical formula of damping factor and liquid viscosity is deduced.The experimental apparatus is set up,and the coefficient of the mathematical formula of the damping factor and viscosity is calibrated by a lot of experiments.The experimental results show the method has high accuracy and good repeatability and stability.In the end,the qualitative analysis of the factors of the errors in the process of the experiment is carried out,which is convenient for the further improvement and innovation.
