Rail grinding is a necessary means of modern railway maintenance technology,which can significantly prolong the service life of rail,and improve the stability and safety of train operation.Compared to the traditional rail grinding,abrasive belt grinding has the following advantages:not easy to damage the rail because of flexible contact,high polishing efficiency,abrasive dust easy recovery,environmental protection and etc.So foreign countries have begun to research and apply.The abrasive belt grinding process is essentially the interaction of complex nonlinear among contact wheel,rail and belt,which directly determines the rail grinding efficiency and grinding quality.However,the current research on the mechanism of the contact wheel has not been reported,which restricts the application of the new technology to a certain extent.Therefore,this paper makes a deep research on concave contact wheel mechanism in the process of abrasive belt grinding,then realize the optimization of the type of surface parameters.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,based on the Hertz theory and the interaction mechanism between the concave contact wheel and the rail,the static model of the concave contact wheel and rail is established.From the model parameters we can obtain the contact wheel diameter,hardness,thickness of adhesive layer in a certain parameter condition and the relationship between the contact area of the shape and stress distribution.the ANSYS WorkBench software is used to simulate the static contact model of the concave contact wheel.Secondly,based on the above static model,this paper analyzes the wave grinding characteristics of the rail,and calculates the contact force of the contact wheel in the different position of the rail with the sine wave form,and obtains the change of the contact force with time.The effectiveness of the proposed modeling method is verified by LS-DYNA software.Finally,based on the above dynamic model,this paper solves the optimal maximum grinding efficiency meet the contact wheel surface parameters in the actual conditions of rail grinding.At the same time,5 sets of contact wheel experiments.with different parameters are carried out on the rail grinding test bench,which verifies the correctness of the theoretical model and the optimization results of the concave contact wheel surface parameters.
