The Reconstruction Research Of Transmission Housing’s CAD Model Base On Reverse Engineering

Reverse engineering is a new product design technology,which is also called inverse engineering.Originating from the data detection,which compares with the three-dimensional data obtained from the product surface and the original digital model,and improves the design after finding problem about it.With the development for the method of digital product surface,there are lots of portable scanning equipments which have high scanning accuracy,meanwhile the most popular of these equipments are grating 3D scanner and hand-held laser scanner which base the principle of triangle measurement system.Because of this,Reverse engineering has a great development which becomes the auxiliary method of product design from the data detection.But in a long period of time,people just are strypped-down simply,even copy,and having no idea for intention of the real design.And it is not conducive to the development of thought to the innovative design for people.Therefore,the main content of this paper is to discuss the entity reconstruction which is on stage for model reconstruction of reverse engineering,to analysis and deal with the point cloud with computer sofewares,and mainly to tell reconstructing the CAD model of transmission housing.The main content of this paper includes the following.1、The paper briefly introduces the development of reverse engineering technology and the research level at home and abroad and having a knowledge that which method and research finding in the reconstruction that the researchers have at the present stage,especially on the development of reduction method about the feature constraint in the process of model reconstruction.2、Introduces the digital method of objects’ surfaces,and focuses on the principle analysis of the measurement system of grating 3D scanner.3、There are some experimental research comparison base on grating 3D scanner,about which having different choice about different method of sticking points and splicing for the different scanning objects to establish the best scanning mode.4、There is the preprocessing for the point cloud base on Geomagic studio to reducing deviation of the point cloud and build a triangular mesh model.5、Building the entity reconstruction for the model reconstruction in reverse engineering,mainly reflects the structural characteristics and physical analysis of the transmission housing and to restore the original product features and constraints between features through querying related technical manuals.And finally,having a reverse reconstruction for the transmission housing base on feature extraction of Imageware and solid modeling of UG.
