Opposed Piston Opposed Cylinder(OPOC)engine has the advantages of opposed-piston engine and opposed Cylinder engine-simple structure,it has high power density and the balance of good performance.However,as a result of the cylinder horizontal layout,lube oil flowing to the lower side under gravity,which leads to uneven distribution of lubricating oil in circumferential direction and high lube oil consumption.In order to understand its lubrication state,for high lube oil consumption and the internal mechanism of cylinder scuffing,it is necessary to establish the oil film test method of cylinder liner-piston rings.According to the characteristics of the OPOC engine,this paper adopts the combination of internal combustion engine visualization and fluorescence induced technology,establishes the oil film test method of cylinder liner-piston rings,which mainly includes:Transparent cylinder liner-piston ring parts tester is developed,including transparent cylinder liner,crank-link mechanism,oil supply and heating system,control system and rotation system,etc.,can be used in different conditions such as speed,temperature and different pitch angles for optical measurement of cylinder oil film thickness.The quantitative cylinder lubricating oil film research is accomplished by fluorescence induced technology is completed.Xenon lamp is used as continuous inducing light source,Rhoda mine 640 fluorescence dye is added to lubricating oil.A high speed camera has been used to record the fluorescent images,combined with image processing technology to get fluorescence image grey value distribution.According to the lambert-beer law,oil film thickness calibration tests set up the relationship between the oil film thickness,image grayscale and inducing light intensity.The distribution regularity of oil film is obtained.The oil film distribution is studied using xenon lamp as inducing light source when temperature is 125?,and speed is varying from 200 to 800r/min.Experimental results show that under the rotating speed of 200-800r/min,the oil film in the??????? ring increase with rotating speed,and the oil film in ? ring is the thickest.The oil film thickness in the first piston pin is thickest at 200r/min,and it decreases as rotating speed increases.
