Research On Northwest Pacific Extratropical Cyclone’s Moving Regulation And Avoidance Methods

Northwest Pacific extratropical cyclone is an important weather system that impacts the safety of navigation.Extratropical cyclone is often accompanied by hash weather such as storm,very rough waves,torrential rain and low visibility,its duration is long and the affected area is wide,especially the explosive cyclone,the influence to ships in routes is not less than typhoon.Currently,transoceanic sailing ships often use the recommended routes from the meteorological navigation company,and extratropical cyclone weather information just helps the navigators better understand the navigation company’s intention and actively cooperate therewith,to ensure the safety of navigation.Although the navigation company’s routes are the best routes obtained from a large number of experienced professionals,and they are based on all kinds of detailed weather information,but they can not guarantee to make completely accurate forecasts for the weather and sea conditions on the sea.Because of the navigation company away from the scene,sometimes they can not accurately grasp the weather,sea conditions around ships and the maneuverability of the ships all the time,In case of inclement weather,sometimes not effective liaison and guidance to ships may cause navigation defeat.However,being familiar with the characteristics of northwest Pacific extratropical cyclone weather,navigators can better understand and operate the received short or medium numerical forecast fax weather chart by ships to route automatically,to compensate for the lack of meteorological navigation.Hereby the further research on northwest Pacific extratropical cyclone weather and their moving regulation is very important and meaningful.The article categorizes and researches statistically on extratropical cyclone on northwest Pacific from 2006 to 2015,and summarizes northwest Pacific extratropical cyclone’s frequency,intensity,the forecast accuracy and explosive cyclone’s origin,frequency,intensity,the movement path and the forecast accuracy.On the basis of statistical analysis,it is compared with predecessor’s northwest Pacific extratropical cyclone statistical results.The statistical features of this article are:using the latest materail to rich marine meteorological data,statistic analysis is aimed and practical,better serves for navigation.The results that compared with previous are slightly different,but the results are basically identical.Then using the statistical results,the article discusses the route selection problem under the background of extratropical cyclone weather,it has a certain actual application value for choosing safe routes on northwest Pacific in cold seasons;In the background of statistic features of northwest Pacific explosive cyclone weather,puts forward the methods of forecast explosive cyclones and the countermeasures to avoid from explosive cyclones.Finally,summarizes the work of this article and prospects for the future work.
