Auto shift is a key component of the steering control.As it relates to the safety of passengers,process of the components are needed to test their performance.In this paper,for the actual production demand,design the test system that PLC as slave,IPC as the host computer,linear motor as the implementation of components.The test system consists of the mechanical part and the electrical part.The mechanical part mainly includes structure frame,fixture,cylinder etc.,Structural framework is a stable platform for testing the system to meet the requirements of testing,the test involves the installation of the shift to the actual loading state test,this need tooling fixture to be installed at the same time during the test in order to prevent the shifter shaking,to be fixed by a cylinder lock.Electrical part includes industrial computer,PLC(programmable logic controller),linear motors,sensors,etc.In the process of work,First,according to the customer's product test data analysis,set the test parameters.Then,the system drives the actuating element to make the shift device move in two directions of horizontal and vertical.Measure the displacement by displacement sensor,measure the suspension resistance by force sensor.The main function of PLC is to automatically control and simulate the mechanism.The main function of the IPC is to collect data for storage and analysis,together with the PLC real-time system monitoring.IPC program using VB to write,it is characterized by writing language mature,good stability,the design process is relatively simple,short design cycle.In the system,the linear motor is used as the executive element,and the majority of the transmission mechanism is omitted.So the whole system organization is simpler,lower cost,better stability.Systems are already used in the factory.After months of continuous testing of different products,the system is stable,the test result is good.This fully shows that the system has reached the design requirements,to meet the needs of production.
