Study On Planning Of Wetland Park

With deterioration of air quality, haze weather phenomenon appears. In most parts of China haze is incorporated into fog as a severe weather warning, known as "fog haze weather". Strengthening the urban wetland park development is an important measure for the protection of urban ecosystem diversity, optimizing ecological environment, and enriching the spiritual and cultural life for urban residents.The methods of literature and field research were used in this study. First the definitions of wetland and the urban wetland park were explained. Then the classification and characteristics of urban wetland park, landscape planning and its relationship with urban sustainable development were discussed. Meanwhile the objectives and principles of urban wetland park planning were reviewed. In China, the size of urban wetland park is different and can be classified as lakes, rivers, marshes and coastal wetland, and artificial wetland. In the end the current existing problems in the planning of urban wetland park were analyzed,such as blind and lack of scientific verification, planning and design digressing from reality,and lack of creativity, talents and mature technique.The swan lake wetland park in Sanmenxia city was investigated after the discussion of the theory of urban wetland park planning. The characteristics of Sanmenxia wetland park can be summarized as follows: first the wetland bases on local feature and combines the natural landscape; second it emphasizes ecological construction and is reasonably planned;third it makes both ends meet and reduces governance cost; fourth the wetland park enhances public involvement and shows educational significance. The planning of this wetland park reflects the unity of protection and utilization, as well as integrates nature, landscape, history and culture together. Furthermore the wetland park functions as ecology, landscape,recreation, popular science education, and culture. Nevertheless the design and management of the wetland park have some shortcomings. This study proposed corresponding suggestions according to the deficiencies in technique and capital base, key protected areas,environmental protection, and infrastructure construction.
