With the development of economy, passenger plane has become the ideal choice for travel, the demand of flight safety and comfort is increasingly high. Landing gear is one of the important equipment in the aircraft structure. It plays an extreme important role in preventing the airframe from vibration and improving passenger comfortable characteristics and increasing aircraft flight safety. Shock absorber is one of the important parts of landing gear.The MR fluid absorber is a typical controllable fluid absorber. It has a vastly prospect in the field of automobile and aircraft etc. The MR fluid absorber can make the semi-active control comes true to improve the control effect, improve the comfort and safety.Firstly, in this paper, from the point of view of dynamics to establish the damping system dynamics model, derive dynamical equations and analyzes them. Then using MATLAB software simulation to obtain the acceleration, relative displacement frequency characteristics and step characteristic curve on different control current and input amplitude, thus the force direction is got to have a better control of the output damping.Secondly, the variable universe fuzzy PID control is used to research the MR damping control system: simulation experiment was made in the MATLAB software platform, the velocity and acceleration response curve of the fuzzy PID control algorithm and variable universe fuzzy PID control algorithm are Comparative analysis, the simulation results show that the variable universe fuzzy PID control applied to the system, the results verify the variable universe fuzzy PID control algorithm’s feasibility and set the initial parameter; And on the basis of the theory, the landing gear shock control system hardware platform and software algorithm design are finished.In the final, the MR damping control system is carried on experiment in hardware platform, through the experiment; we discovered that this control system can meet the shock absorber damping of a good and high stability requirements.
