| As china’s urbanization develops, the infrastructure became insufficient to support the increasing population. It leads to a variety of problems such as traffic, bad environment, resource shortage and damaged inhabit. Suburban area contains traits of both urban and rural environment, making it an ideal target for urbanization, as well as its good environment, with varying geological features like wetlands, forests and rivers. Among them, wetland is vital for improving ecological problems in urban areas. Planning these areas efficiently will create and sustain a beneficial ecological community, keeping the chaotic urbanization in check. This thesis will research the wetland and landscape plannings based on the principle of harmonic development. This thesis will differentiate the definition of suburban and wetland, and describe the related research conducted both domestically and internationally. First, it will clarify the traits of suburban wetlands, summarize the problems and advantages of landscape plannings using examples from multiple countries. It will also analyze the strategies of landscape planning. Second, it will consider the aspects of landscape plannings of suburban wetlands, using experiments conducted in PiXian wetland. At last, it will conclude the advantages and disadvantages of existing cases by comparing theory and practice. The conclusions will provide a guideline for the future experience.1.The distinctive location of suburban area made this place has characteristics of not only resourceful, but also versatility and variability.2.The complex functions lead to complex eco-network, then, during the process of planning and designing, we have to follow the basic principles of landscape designing and pay attention to the harmonic development between city and rural at the same time.3.During the landscape planning, one should consider multiple aspects including its location, ecology and culture to create a comprehensive blueprint. By improving local agriculture and entertainment, as well as combining economics and ecology, the blueprint should promise an unique wetland landscape. |
