During takeoff and landing aero-engine may inhale some of particles such as dust, sand, weed, and ice. These particles flowing into the core engine may cause engine failure, so to influence service life and reliability, and then to affect comprehensive capabilities and safety of aircraft..According to the research finding of particle impacting on experiments and numerical calculations, analysis for rebound characteristics of particle impacting in different condition is conducted by using advanced computing technique. The present dissertation aims at building perfect and reliable model and comprehensive database, and obtaining some useful conclusions, thus offering an important reference for the design of aero-engine.First, the process is simplified as a spherical particle impacting on a plane plate when the particle impacting on the blade or the casing. LS-Prepost pre-processor is used to model geometry, meshing and set calculation parameters. ANSYS Mechanical Launcher simulation solver is used to calculate. The effects of initial conditions on rebound characteristics are concluded from the results which can be analyzed by energy analysis and Newton’s laws. The initial conditions include particle incidence velocity, angle, density, velocity and material of plate. Rebound characteristics include collision time, sand slide distance, rebounce velocity and angle. There are two kinds of materials of the plate, metal and composites, the same type research ideas but with different constitutive equations. There are three kinds of metal materials, the main object of study: 410Steeel、Ti-6Al-4V and 2024 Al and one composites: rubber-metal.The calculation results are collected into a database, and develop two tables, one is basic table and the other is a table for metal plates moving factor. In VC ++ programming platform, rebound characteristics are calculated in the specified initial conditions with combination of the database and interpolation.Considering current experimental conditions, the experiments for the rebound angle was designed and carried out. The results are in accord with simulation results and the experimental results conducted by Tabakoff.
