The tilt-rotor aircraft which has the characteristics of helicopter and fixed wing is a new configuration aircraft. Flight control is one of the key technology of unmanned tilt-rotor aircraft. Because the requirement of flight control is getting higher and higher and control algorithm is becoming more and more complex, the traditional design method of aircraft control system couldn't be satisfied with the requirement of the modern aircraft control system. The rapid control prototyping technology which is based on the hardware platform of high speed computation power of common interface and automatic code generation technology can efficiently create controller rapid prototyping to experiment and improve the development efficiency of control system.The flight control system of unmanned tilt-rotor aircraft is the research object of this article, and the technology research of rapid control prototyping based on CompactRIO is carried out. First, the dynamic characteristics of the sample unmanned tilt-rotor aircraft are analyzed. Then in allusion to characteristics of the transition flight mode of tilt-rotor aircraft, the full envelope flight control law of tilt-rotor aircraft is designed by using dynamic inversion control combined with PID control method, and stable flight of all modes of tilt-rotor aircraft is ensured by adopting reasonable switch strategy. According to the flight simulation and the flight control design requirements of tilt-rotor aircraft, the overall scheme of rapid control prototyping of tilt-rotor aircraft is determined, and according to the scheme, the aviation instruments selection is carried out. Finally the rapid control prototyping of unmanned tilt-rotor aircraft is established. The sensor data collection application and servo control application of rapid control prototyping based on CompactRIO is developed by using LabVIEW. The full envelope control algorithm is quickly built by using control design and simulation module of LabVIEW. The rapid prototyping console application is developed, and the experiment of rapid control prototyping comes true. It lays a foundation for the successful test flight of tilt-rotor aircraft.
