Because of the power coupling mechanism,the renewable power in the low side of dual motor coupling drive tracked vehicle can return to the high speed side in a mechanical way.The problem of the low power utilization of the independent driving scheme of the bilateral motor has been solved well.The dual motor coupling drive tracked vehicle become more and more important. In the early development process of electric drive tracked vehicle, it often requires the performance analysis of engine, generator, battery and driving motor device and completing parameter matching of each component,in order to meet the requirement of the vehicle's power. But because of the dynamic performance of the energy supply system, power coupling mechanism and the drive motor,the simulation computing of the electric drive tracked vehicle under conventional steady-state conditions can not meet the requirements.It is very important to carry out dynamic process simulation calculation for the transmission system of electric drive tracked vehicle. This can accurately display the performance of tracked vehicles and provide better guidance to complete the components parameters matching and optimization design.Therefore it is of great significance to shorten the development period and reduce development costs of electric drive tracked vehicle.The main details in this paper are as follows:(1) The structure characteristics and working principle of dual motor coupling drive tracked vehicle are introduced in details.The differences among dual motor coupling drive structure, bilateral motor independent driving mechanism, single motor and steering motor combined drive structure, dual motor and steering motor combined drive structure and hybrid drive mechanism are summarized. At the same time, the advantages of dual motor coupling drive tracked vehicle are introduced in details.(2) The kinematics and dynamics of tracked vehicle and the kinematics and dynamics relationship of the input and output of the power coupling mechanism are analysed.The influence caused by the dynamic characteristics of the planetary gear transmission system of tracked vehicle is analysed through the analysis of dynamics and steering dynamics of the tracked vehicle.(3) Based on the Matlab/Simulink environment, the simulation model of all parts and vehicle of the electric drive tracked vehicle are builted, and the difference between the steady state characteristic and the dynamic characteristic of engine and motor is analyzed. The dynamic control scheme based on torque and speed are analysed and compared.The simulation model of dynamic control scheme based on torque is built and verified by simulation.(4) The effects of dynamic characteristics of driving motor and planetary gear drive system on the response characteristics of dual motor coupling drive tracked vehicle are analyzed by simulation when the tracked vehicle is in a straight line. The voltage variation rules of the tracked vehicle when the track is at different levels of sudden unloading, and the differences between the steady state characteristics and dynamic characteristics of the tracked vehicle during the B/2 steering are analyzed by the simulation.
