In recent years, the research and application of steel-concrete composite structure in our country has developed rapidly, which has been widely used in various fields such as high-rise, super high-rise building and bridge structure. Due to architectural image and function requirements, large cantilevered structure was set in the floors of elevation 36.75 m, 40.55 m and 44.30 m in "Shenzhen Huarun Trail Bay Garden Hotel" project. In order to meet the requirement of architectural function, a kind of composite beam-slab structure with beam-embedded connection was proposed and used in the structural design. To confirm that whether the flexural performance of the composite beam-slab structure meet the requirements of the structure,the flexural behavior of the composite cross section and the flexural behavior of the cast slab of the composite beam-slab structure with beamembedded connection under negative bending moment has been studied through experiment and ANSYS nonlinear finite element analysis, compared with the composite beam-slab structure with stud connection which was commonly used in engineering,the evaluation of the flexural performance of the composite beam-slab structure with beamembedded connection and the recommendations of the application in the engineering is presented.In this paper,the monotonic loading test was carried out on 6 slab specimens to study the effect of the embedded connection on the anti negative bending moment capacity of the cast slab of the composite beam-slab structure with beam-embedded connection; the monotonic loading test and finite element simulation analysis was carried out on 2 beam specimens to study the composite bending mechanism and flexural performance of the composite beam with beam-embedded connection, compared with the composite beam with stud connection which was commonly used in engineering.The results of the test show that the embedded connection of the composite beam-slab structure has little effect on the anti negative bending moment capacity of the cast slab, but the lateral stiffness of the steel beam should be pledged to bear the pressure of the concrete compression zone effectively; The comparison between ANSYS finite element simulation analysis and experimental results shows that the flexural performance of the composite beam with beam-embedded connection is similar to the composite beam with stud connection commonly used in engineering on the basis of the guarantee of the performance of the shear connection between steel beam and cast slab, and the flexural bearing capacity of the composite beam with beam-embedded connection can be approximately calculated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the code for design of steel structure;the selection of shear connector needs further research to ensure the performancethe shear connection between steel beam and cast slab.
