With the popular use of PC, analysis measuring machine has progressed much. On the research of electrochemical measurement machines, there are some differences between the products domestic and foreign. In the study of AC impedance, because of the unique advantages, frequency response analysis has become a method which is most widely used in the field of AC impedance. In this dissertation, a new impedance measurement method-WaveForm Simulation method(WFS) has been studied and compared with Frequency Response Analysis(FRA). The program of electrochemical measurement software has been written through the platform of VB 6.0. Impedance and capacitive reactance of the system under the frequency can be calculated by using the appropriate method. Their dimension was closely related to the signal which was applied to the system.WaveForm Simulation makes use of the Davidon arithmetic to calculate the impedance. The initialization section of model and phase of WaveForm Simulation has been improved and was compared with previous method, This method was tested theoritically and experimentally and the test shows the improved WaveForm Simulation is more quickly and accurately. Compared with the test results of the improved WaveForm Simulation and Frequency Response Analysis, Program test indicates that the experimental values accord with the theoretical values over a range of frequencies(10mHz-100kHz) and the measurement error is below 5%. The impedance measurement system had better accuracy, reliability and stability. Through the theoretical and practical models, it shows that the results of model error are basically the same, but on the calculation of phase error, the Frequency Response Analysis looks better with smaller error.
