Indonesia SFX(Superflex) Modified Asphalt Blending Performance And Aging Mechanism Research

As the rapid development of economy in our country, the high grade pavement of asphalt is already exists in generally. In recent years, more and more overloading and heavy traffic appearing, plus the differences in climate conditions in our country,many new road appeared various types of early destruction such as rutting, water damage, cracks, pit slot on the open to traffic soon, seriously shorten the use of its expected life. Indonesia SFX modified asphalt is produced from Indonesia SFX(Superflex) asphalt and base asphalt under given process. The pavement performance of modified asphalt has been promoted. Through indoor experiments, this paper centered on Indonesian SFX blending performance and aging mechanism from the macroscopic and microscopic two aspects.In this paper, different dosage of Indonesia SFX modified asphalt is tested through macro performance evaluation method mainly adopts penetration, ductility,softening point, viscosity and so on before and after aging process, to analysis about the modified effect of temperature sensitivity, high temperature stability, ageing resistance properties under different content of the Indonesian SFX asphalt.Besides, different dosage of Indonesia SFX modified asphalt is tested through micro performance evaluation method mainly adopts infrared spectrum, nuclear magnetic resonance, atomic force test and other modern analysis techniques before and after aging process, to research the internal microstructure, composition and change rule of the form of modified asphalt under different dosage of Indonesia SFX asphalt.According to the results of macro performance test show that when the Indonesia SFX asphalt content is 15%, the four indexes changes becomes relatively sensitive,modification effect and anti-aging performance of modified asphalt is better before and after aging process.Micro performance test results show that when Indonesia SFX asphalt content is located in the range of 15% or so, internal structure and surface morphology of Indonesia SFX modified asphalt achieves a relative balance state, so recommended dosage of 15% of the Indonesian SFX asphalt as the best dosage.The Indonesian SFX modified asphalt mixing with 15% Indonesia SFX asphalt apply to road paving of Furong road section(XiangYin section) and achieved good effect.
