With the rise of multi-layer and high-rise buildings, the steel residential industry has been developed rapidly. Composite slabs, as an important part of steel structure buildings, have better structural performance and higher working efficiency compared with traditional plain concrete floors. And the composite slabs with light-weight aggregate concrete, as a new type of floor system, in addition to have the characteristics of ordinary concrete composite slabs, but also have the advantage of light deadweight, being environmentally friendly and significant economic benefits.The research on composite slabs using ordinary concrete has become increasingly mature, but it is less to research of lightweight aggregate concrete composite slabs with profiled steel sheet and there is no relevant specification. On the basis of previous studies this paper designed 8 pieces of composite slabs and studied the three factors including the thickness of the steel sheet, the total thickness of composite slabs and the shear reinforcement spacing on the bending mechanical properties of composite slabs. The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows.(1) The experiment measured the development of cracks, the deflection under the span centre and loading point, the strain of pressed steel sheet and concrete and the relative slip between pressed steel sheet and concrete in the end. The results show that the thickness of the steel sheet, the total thickness of composite slabs the shear reinforcement spacing have influence on the flexural limit bearing capacity of composite slabs, but the influence degree is different.(2) The plastic design method is adopted to establish the calculation of composite slabs and deduce the calculation formula of ultimate bearing capacity combined with the test data. And compared with the calculation formula of composite slabs of using ordinary concrete, the calculation error is small. It can be used for reference in the engineering design personnel.(3) By selecting appropriate constitutive model, unit type and boundary conditions, it uses ABAQUS finite element software to analyze mechanical performance of composite slabs. The results of finite element analysis are exactly similar to the results of the experiment.
