Using static safety analysis method to analysis the complex system containing temporal relation of failure, will be loss the temporal information in the analysis process. Therefore, the analysis results may contain potential errors. At the same time, The current approach for the analysis of temporal relations can be considered are existing some problems, for example they are only suitable for quantitative analysis, modeling on a large scale or difficult to be solved. Therefore, this paper studies a method for safety analysis of complex systems considering temporal relation of failure, increasing the processing capacity for SAND. It is not only suitable for the qualitative analysis of complex systems, but also the process of analysis is more clear and the result is more accurate.This paper first summarizes the failure characteristics of complex systems, then make a comment on the current approach which temporal relations can be considered from their principle, analysis process and insufficient aspects, so as to explain the necessity of the method proposed in this paper. This method uses the idea of hierarchical structure of the system, using the state chart as description tool, so that can hierarchical describe the failure state transfer relation of each level, at the same time, according to the state chart model and using three kinds of temporal logic gates to accurately express the temporal relation of failure, then establishing Failure Temporal Relation Model of complex system, proposing new algorithm based on the temporal logic law, in order to solve the minimal cut sequence leading to system level failure. Finally, this method is applied to the instance part, the accuracy and applicability of the method are verified by comparing the results with the traditional analytical methods.
