Shenzhen outer-ring expressway is located in the north and east of the city. Apart from that, it is an important part of trunk road network layout—thirteen vertical and seven horizontal, and the encryption line of the main expressway—nine vertical and five horizontal two-ring of Guangdong Province. This road segment starts from Baoan District of Shenzhen, meeting with the expressway which is along the river with hub interchange. It ends with Yan Ba expressway. The outer-ring expressway is mainly used for connecting the north-south expressways, by this way, it can also improve the traffic and transportation conditions and environmental investment in the northeast part of Shenzhen. The total mileage of the project is about 92.86 Km, of which the section of Shenzhen is about 76.04 Km and that of Dongguan is 17 Km, and Shenzhen and Dongguan is respectively responsible for the construction of their own part. First, this paper compared all the schemes and decided the start and end point of Shenzhen outer-ring expressway according to network planning and the completed situation of existing highway and corresponding of Highway index. Second, it made a detailed analysis about the various control factors on project and compared the different corridor schemes considering the control factors. Then we considered the construction conditions, engineering geological conditions, hydrological geological conditions, road material, engineering cost, local government views, especially the national expressway net and natural gas within and along the corridor, afterward, we made a demonstration on the schemes that we had selected. According to all the conditions, after a comprehensive consideration, we draw a recommendation schemes congzongtish. Finally, the paper gives a detailed description to the recommended scheme from various professions such as route?interchange?road embankment?bridge and culvert?tunnel?traffic engineering and so on, further verifying the feasibility and rationality of the scheme. The conclusion drawn from the scheme is that, in the process of studying the scheme of expressway, we should comprehensively take all kinds of controlled and restricted conditions into accounts, not only route index but also many other aspects, especially the influence of engineering geologic condition should be focused.
