Trailing suction hopper dredger an important aspect of dredging operations optimization is to reduce the loss of the overflow process.This paper analyzes the trailing suction hopper dredger overflow process, the overflow flow-rate and density estimates are based on the overflow tube shape, dredged soil, incoming mixture density and flow-rate, etc. This paper using a random walk model to estimate the overflow flowrate and density, simplified mathematical model of the overflow process.According to the characteristics of the mathematical model, we propose a decomposition of the nonlinear process model into two simpler subsystems. Increased modularity, reduced the complexity of the system.Thereafter, this paper introduces two commonly used estimation methods: Kalman filter method and particle filter method. And use its verified real ship data.This paper propose a feasible estimation method in hopper-dredger overflow losses estimation. In further study has a reference significance. |
