With the development of science and technology, the international competition is becoming more and more intense, and the application of high energy laser is more and more widely. The function of many laser weapon is divided into two parts. The first part is the detection and tracking of the target. The second part is destroying the target by using of the high energy laser. This kind of optical system based on high energy laser transmission is of high accuracy. So the research of the detection technology of the optical system based on high energy laser transmission is becoming especially urgent.Optical system based on high energy laser transmission has the characteristics of large aperture, long focal length and high quality of laser beam. This paper introduces the study of the detection technology based on high energy laser transmission system. The aperture of the optical system based on high energy laser transmission is 300 mm, the focal length is 2000 mm. The power of laser transmitter is 10 KW. This paper describes the method of detection and the selection, design and optimization of the detection system. The detection system is used to detect the transfer function and the focal length of the optical system based on high energy laser transmission, it is also used to detect the intensity distribution of the laser beam. According to the detection parameters and the characteristics of the system, the detection system uses the CCD imaging system instead of the traditional scanning system to detect the transmission function, the focal length and the laser intensity distribution of. This method greatly simplifies the detection procedure and the device required for the detection system. According to the different detection parameters, the detection system is divided into three parts: transfer function detection, focal length detection and laser intensity distribution. The whole detection system can realize real-time and high precision automatic measurement, and has the advantages of good stability, high precision and simple operation.
