Abstract/Summary:
The development of countryside in China has a comprehensive differentiated character, which aggregates various geological space types, multiple ethnic cultural connotations and combinations of the differentiation of space and time through all the economical developing periods. The rural development is the result of the urban-rural social system evolution and its influences. As one of the formats of countryside society, the rural spaces of counties in mountain areas are highly compounded of villager’s residency, agricultural production, natural ecology and rural culture.At present, the rural resident space is confronted with numerous obstacles under the background of fast economic development of the rural society, including rural hollowing and fragmentation, the contradiction between relocation of villagers and rural development, the backward of infrastructure and the perish of the traditional culture. In the administrative unit system, the rural resident space is hardly growing efficiently.As the rural resident space carries comprehensive part in the growth of urban-rural society, this article raises the concept of “rural resident spatial cells” so as to present optimal synthesis unit with characteristic various geological environment spaces, ethnic cultures and the economic development level among mountain areas. The ultimate goal is to provide new ideas for rural resident space construction.In this article, the administrative unit of counties are selected as the research range, for its importance in the development in the economic society as well as in the coordinated urban-rural development and triple features of macro, intermediate and micro views. Changyang Tujia Ethnic Autonomous County of Yichang City is selected as the research sample, where geologically belongs to Wuling Mountain area, economic socially belongs to concentrated poverty area, and cultural spatially belongs to the confluence of Tujia and Han. The residency spots in administrative and natural villages are selected as the research object.The article analyzes the relativity of rural resident spatial agglomeration relation and influences of spatial aspects by Arc GIS 10.2 and SPSS 19 platforms. The data is from high-resolution photographs and DEM land usage data of Changyang County in 2013. Firstly, the main rural resident spatial cell is identified by using the method of Scale-Space Theory Based Regionalization for Spatial Cells. Then the typical county regional spatial cells along the Yantouxi River and the spatial characters based on elementary residency fragments are discussed. Finally, reconstructed ranking system of “County- main rural resident spatial cell- rural residency” is finished. The multi-aspect comprehensive evaluation indicator system is established, thus the central resident fragments analyzed in a comprehensive way, clustering scale determined reasonably and optimal spatial layout modes delivered as well, including the central village aggregation mode, the industry leading mode and the cultural convergence mode.
