As a member of the AC Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) with the advantages of low inertia, fast response, large torque coefficient, small torque ripple and easy to be control when compared to the induction motor control, Direct Drive permanent magnet synchronous motor had been widely used in many fields of control especially in the servo control system. Direct drive control eliminated the intermediate transmission links, connected the direct drive motor directly to the load in order to eliminate the reverse gap caused by the mechanical transmission, flexibility and the other related issues, so direct drive technology was called the advanced methods and technology for modern drive technology by foreign industry, it would be applied to all walks of life in the future.In this paper, we first introduced the origin and the development survey of the permanent magnet synchronous direct drive motor and its control system, the mathematical model had been built with the permanent magnet synchronous motor structure, and then introduced the rotor field oriented vector control strategy and the voltage space vector PWM technique which were widely used in servo control system.With the theoretical basis, built the speed-current double closed loop servo control model on the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform and analysis the current loop and the speed loop simulation of the system. Finally verified the control accuracy and reliability of the system design, providing a theoretical basis to the hardware and software design of the direct drive servo control system.On the basis of theoretical analysis and model simulation, this paper mainly studied the full digital AC permanent magnet synchronous direct drive servo system based on TMS320F28377 D dual core DSP. Based on the excellent performance of high performance dual CPU, the communication mechanism between internal processors in dual core architecture is analyzed. At the same time, when combining with thecharacteristics of the direct drive motor, the precision of the servo system was improved by using the forward cosine encoder inter-polator circuit to endure the accuracy of the servo system under the premise of not changing the original system speed measuring device. The key hardware circuit, system software control block diagram and control strategy were described in this paper. Finally used the design of permanent magnet synchronous direct drive servo control platform as the research object, respectively tested the step response in the current loop, speed loop and position loop. The experimental results are analyzed and explained, verifying the final design of the direct drive servo platform reliability, can be used as a practical engineering application.
