| Application of abradable seal coating technology plays an important role in aeroengine.It can improve engine gas path seal, reduce gas leakage and enhance engine overall performance. Now, with the rapid development of aviation industry, aeroengine is put forward higher requirement for seal coating. The study of abradable seal coating used in high temperature has become a hot research. The paper studies and analyzes the preparation of powders and coatings, especially the properties of the coatings. Main conclusions are as follow:In this paper, Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2(YSZ) was chosen as base-phase and polyester was chosen as the pore-making materials respectively. The coated polyester by TiO2 was prepared using sol-gel method. It mixed YSZ with coated polyester by mechanical mixing mode and agglomeration of mixed mode respectively. The coating powders were researched. Results show that, the polyester powder was well-coated by TiO2 as the hydrolyzing of butyl titanate.Crystal type of TiO2 was mainly anatase. It prepared agglomeration powders by spray drying process. Shape of agglomeration powders were basically spherical. The heat resistance of coated polyester was better than conventional polyester.Six kinds of coatings were prepared by using plasma spraying progress. Structures and properties of the six coatings were tested. The results showed that, the coating prepared by agglomeration mixing powder didn’t appear obvious crack and pore assemble, and also the pore size and distribution were relatively uniform. In the presence of polyester, it can improve the properties of the pure YSZ coating such as hardness, porosity, fractured toughness and so on. After friction and wear testing, because of many tiny holes formed by polyester in seal coatings, that coatings with coated polyester could have lower hardness, average moment,friction coefficient and higher wear weight, wear width than that without polyester. |
