A growing number of large cantilever box girder has been built in urban bridge construction because of the graceful shape and transparent visual effects under the bridge. As the "lifeline" of the bridge, design and construction of transverse prestressed reinforcement always were the key to success of this kind of bridge construction. The construction errors of transverse prestressing may cause the change of the stress and deformable of the deck, and it would be a significant impact on the long-term performance of the bridge and even the safety of the structure. So, it is very necessary to study the influence brought by the construction errors.Based on the engineering background of a certain continuous box girder bridge with large cantilever, combining with reliability theory and related method, using ANSYS software as the computing platform, this paper analyzed and studied a variety of possible errors during transverse prestressing construction process in large cantilever box girder. The main work and results of this paper are list as followed:1. Combined with varieties of load case, this paper used ANSYS software to build a finite element solid model of large cantilever box girder and analyze the stress and deformation characteristics of the structure.2. Combined with mechanical characteristics, construction characteristics and error factors of large cantilever box girder, this paper put forward three error parameters of transverse prestressing during the construction and made distributional assumptions of the parameters.3. Using the related theories and methods of structural reliability, taking the deck’s transverse stress as our research target to put forward corresponding performance function, this paper analyzed the reliability of structure under the premise of distributional assumptions.4. This paper analyzed the sensitivity of three error parameters mentioned above. By comparing the numerical size of each parameters and the effect it may cause to the structure, this paper made several recommendations for the control of construction quality and monitoring for real project.Depending on the research above, this paper can provide theoretical support for design of large cantilever box girder or similar projects and it can guide the construction of related projects.
