In recent years, double deck ship has been widely recognized. In the process of construction of double deck ship, the construction of the ship has a low efficiency, poor quality of welding, poor production environment, high labor intensity and deformation,which restraint to improve the efficiency of the ship construction and control the cost.In view of the advantages of automatic welding in production efficiency, product quality stability, working environment, cost and so on, Many shipyard and research institutes have carried out the research work on the application of the automatic welding robot in the lattice structure and achieved many practical applications of the concrete results.With the rapid development of the robot technology, the design of the special robot and the system of the small and small ships are the next research direction.Considering the experience of using the existing large robot to make the system integration lead to the large size of the whole grid welding platform is too large, after the whole production process and production requirements of the ship's lattice were studied by field investigation This article from the design of welding robot with combination of robot work demand, environmental constraints and design the structure of the key components of the robot using bionics theory and specific dimensions of the robot, In this article the 3D software SolidWorks is used to build the 3D model and the whole machine is assembled in the virtual space,The reliability of the key parts of the robot is obtained by the preliminary statics analysis of the finite element software ANSYS.In view of the lots of obstacles and multi constraints of the grid space, In this paper, the compatibility of the welding platform is designed, With the miniaturization of welding robot control cabinet of the latest, advanced welding power, the appropriate weight gun of welding robot, and other necessary welding equipment, In the virtual space, the whole welding system is built, and the simulation of each welding seam is carried out according to the general bulk cargo ship and container ship.Simulation results show that the design of the welding robot and welding platform for different welding conditions of good adaptability and overall flexibility.With the development of the electronic technology, the miniaturization of the ro bot and the miniaturization of the whole system will greatly improve the possibility of the realization of the automatic welding of the lattice and will further reduce thecost of shipbuilding, improve the quality of the ship construction.Through this paper,the design and simulation results of the robot and the platform are presented to de monstrate the feasibility of the miniaturization, which will promote the development of the whole research to some extent.
