Synthesis Of Flexible And Electrochromic Supercapacitors And Their Property

Supercapacitors, also named electrochemical capacitors, as novel and popular energy storage devices, have been widely investigated. They often offer high power density, fast charging/discharging rates, long cycle life, wide temperature window and environmental friendliness. In this paper, we focused on the synthesis and preparation of the polymer and metal oxide, and carried out the applications in the flexible supercapacitors and the electrochromic supercapacitor electrodes. The main findings and conclusions are following:1、A CNT film was easily and effectively fabricated by vacuum filtration. And the flexible CNT-based supercapacitor electrode was prepared by electrodepositing polypyrrole(PPy) on freestanding vacuum-filtered CNT film. The as-synthesized CNT/PPy electrode demonstrated significantly improved mechanical properties(ultimate tensile strength of 16 MPa), and greatly enhanced electrochemical performance(5.6 times larger areal capacitance). The flexible supercapacitors exhibited excellent flexibility and electrochemical performance that were assembled with the robust CNT/PPy electrodes. And their electrochemical performance didn’t significantly change under folding condition.2、A NiO nanoflakes electrode was grown on fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO) glass by a simple, facile hydrothermal method. And carried out the applications in the energy storage and electrochromism. The NiO electrode revealed a high areal capacitance of 74.8 mF/ cm2 at a scan rate of 10 mV/s and a high coloration efficiency(CE) of 63.2 cm2/C at a wavelength of 632.8 nm. It also showed the excellent cyclic stability that almost unchanged after 5000 cycles.
