The 3D-Flow closed integral impellers have been widely used in the aerospace engine, but its manufacturing technology such as the long processing cycle, too complex to ensure accuracy etc., has been the difficulty of research in domestic and abroad. Along with the rapid development of the digital manufacturing technology, the computer and Electrical Discharge Machining(EDM) combine to improve the efficiency of the numerical control electrical discharge machining. This method has been widely studied in domestic and abroad. The specific research contents are as follows:1) Analysis of the impeller geometry structure characteristics, processing difficulties;develop the scheme of EDM of closed integral impeller, and analyze its key problems; the analysis of geometry simulation of EDM process is carried out;determine the software development of system modular.2) At data processing of 3D-Flow closed integral impellers, in order to improve the precision and speed of simulation, research on EDM forming machine tool and design interpolation algorithm of electrode trajectory.3) On the UG platform,develop two sets of simulation systems based on dynamic assembly technology: geometry simulation system of motion trajectory verification of numerically EDM and the material removal process.4) Design of the electrode and its trajectory of the closed integral impeller based on design of 3D digital model and simulation system. Firstly reasonable regional division of flow channel based on modeling tool, on the trajectory system, according to the data of fine interpolation in the channel,the electrode achieve the whole process simulation and analysis of a single static clearance, interference and excessive cutting; on the machining process simulation system, replacement of the electrode of a workpiece, geometry simulation of the material removal process and analysis of simulation results,in order to quickly optimize the electrode structure and motion trajectory design.
