Research On Moderate Design Of Landscape Space

Landscape is an important part of modern urban infrastructure construction.Howerver, in the present with the increasing development of economics and material production capacity, there exist many phenomena of excessive design, which is mostly of high input, major waste and low production benefit. In addition to fulfilling human being's spiritual demands, landscape is more being used as a means to improve competitiveness. In order to guide a correct way for design,this dissertation puts forward the concept "moderate design" of landscape space, which is themed with simplicity,ecology,low cost and resources sustainability in relative to excessive design.Moderate design method can not only solve the problem of excessive design, but also pay attention to local characteristics and balanced designing idea.This dissertation is divided into six sections,and conduct research and analysis according to the logical order of "research background-research purpose-literature research-definition of concept-upfront analysis-case study-principle proposal-design practice". Through research on the problems and root causes of excessive design, reference to related research achievements, in combination with related design theories and overall early status of Hengyang Xiang River Scenic belt,and moreover,through conclusion and induction of excessive design issues in West Bank design cases, this dissertation teases out four principles and five approaches of moderate design,which are employed in the design practice part over the east bank of Xiang river. Including soil texture, water bodies, vegetation, roads and materials selection and other angles.Through theories and practices of moderate design in landscape space,it is expected to impel designers to focus on ecological benefit and sustainability as well as function and beauty of design itself, to control the balance of space environment design,and give instructions to future design.
