With the development of internet, the number of the internet users becomes larger and larger. At the same time, with increasing of smart phones?tablet PCs and wearable devices, it puts forward higher requirements for the management of wireless network. Traditional network architecture is closed and rigid, it is difficult to deploy new network protocols and applications. As the core system of intelligent transportation network, vehicle network can improve the efficiency of transport, offer multimedia applications to the passengers, and bring the driver a more convenient and safe experience. We tried to using SDN architecture programmability and scalability, and introduced the SDN architecture to the vehicle network field. Virtualized the network physical layer, data link layer and network layer, and took an active part in exploring innovation in the field of wireless network.In this paper, by studying the SDN based on OpenFlow, We analyzed the difference between SDN and traditional network and studied some problems of the current wireless network communication. To make the most of the advantages of SDN architecture, we introduced the SDN to the field of wireless networks. Combining SDN with WLAN and vehicle network, researched and designed new types of wireless network. Finally, to verify the feasibility of the new wireless SDN network, we deployed hardware and simulated the model.(1) Basing on the existing WLAN access method, this paper proposed a WLAN access control strategy, then designed a new WLAN network according to the access control. The policy used the MAC address white list to authenticate, which can manage the terminal accessing and data forwarding through the application of the controller. This strategy not only improves the flexibility and controllability, but also makes the network access more secure and convenient. Finally, depending on the new network architecture, we deployed the experimental platform, and verified the feasibility and practicability of the method.(2) Basing on the existing vehicle network model, this paper introduced the SDN network architecture, and designed the vehicle network experimental model. The model combined the SDN network architecture with the vehicle network, and gave full play to their respective advantages. Compared to the traditional vehicle network architecture, the SDN vehicle network mainly included the following two advantages: i)it can make the most of its programmability to achieve the management of vehicle unit and a roadside unit; ii)it is flexible to deploy applications and services. Finally, according to the designed SDN vehicle network, we built the experimental platform. The experimental results show that the designed SDN based vehicle network can function well in traffic monitoring and the best link selecting.
