Weir flow measurement is an important content of the safety monitoring of hydraulic structures, to strengthen the seepage monitoring of hydraulic structure is of great significance to ensure the safety of hydraulic structure as well as the feedback design. The current method of weir flow measurement is generally combined with the measuring weir, through measuring the water level on dam, and then according to the corresponding flow formulas, we can obtain the value of weir flow. The traditional method of water level measurement not only consumes manpower and material resources, but also has low degree of automation. On account of the present status of the weir flow monitoring, a weir flow automation monitoring system is designed in this paper, which based on single chip microcomputer and sensor. This automation monitoring system will be application of computer, sensors, communications and other modern technology.Firstly, the methods and the principle of weir flow measurement will be introduced in this article, including the commonly used measuring weir type. Flow calculation formula and the flow calculation method applied in this system are also discussed. Combined with the experimental needs, the advantages and disadvantages of various water level sensors are analyzed, and through the comparative analysis, the type of HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors is selected for distance measurement. Then the minimum system of STM32 MCU is developed, including the design of hardware circuit and software program. In this paper, the human-computer interaction interface is designed to realize that the lower computer collects the data while the upper computer for calculation, display, data management and other functions. This way, a complete weir flow monitoring system is formed. Finally, through specific experiments, data analysis, and test of software programs, the result suggests that the weir flow automation monitoring system designed in this article realized the expected function and achieved the purpose of automatic measurement. |
