Saturated sand liquefaction which brought great harm to buildings is one of the earthquake damage. The current understanding about the process and mechanism of saturated sand liquefaction is not perfect enough, it is worth studying that the pore reconstruction theory in sand liquefaction mechanism, The problems of water interlayer included pore reconstruction are particularly noteworthy. Pore reconstruction is a process that pore characteristics buried in different deep of saturated sand change along with the time. It is difficult to do study in this area based on the existing test equipment. Resistivity is one of the inherent physical parameters to represent the soil electrical conductivity, which can reflect the characteristics of the soil porosity. Therefore, we have carried out research of saturated sand liquefaction mechanism based on the resistivity dynamic testing. Main work and achievements as follows:Firstly, carrying out static testing about the quantitative relationship between sand and resistivity, analyzing the factors of resistivity including the degree of saturation, porosity, pore water resistivity etc, establishing the empirical relationship between resistivity and these factors.Secondly, designing the resistivity dynamic testing system, and making a detailed introduction about it's relevant supporting device.Thirdly, carrying out a impact liquefaction test of saturated sand by using resistivity dynamic testing system and reproduce the macroscopic phenomenon of pore reconstruction of saturated sand liquefaction and water interlayer. These research results have a vital significance in deepening understanding of saturated sand liquefaction mechanism further.
