Centrifugal pumps are the most common of all the pumps,which are widely used in the industry,agriculture,mining,shipbuilding,defense and other fields,while it is one of many hydraulic machinery in a very important one,therefore,how to improve the centrifugal pump hydraulic performance,improve centrifugal the operating characteristics is of great significance.The design and optimization of centrifugal pumps is mainly based on three kinds of methods,which are test optimization,three kinds of speed factor design method and CFD design optimization.Currently,the optimization of the centrifugal pump based on the use of CFD numerical simulation techniques has become mainstream,because the process is not only high precision,but also it can effectively shorten the design cycle optimization,The Simulation process is based on the turbulence model equations and different turbulence models,but different flow field and simulation objects needs different models,However,the selection will have an impact on the calculate results and the convergence and accuracy therefore,how to explore a suitable turbulence model for the study has an important theoretical and practical value.In this paper,we set a certain type of centrifugal pump as study,we simulate the centrifugal conditions in five working conditions under different turbulence models,such as Standard k-??BSL(k-?)?SST(k-?)?SSG(Reynolds Stress)of the ANSYS CFX software modules,We can get the centrifugal flow components inside the pressure distribution,velocity distribution of cloud.Based on the previous work,we can perform data logging and finishing work,then the flow field simulation results and experimental data were analyzed,the simulation error analysis to identify the relatively optimal turbulence model,Finally,the centrifugal pressure at different operating points of distribution,velocity distribution based on different models are analyzed,Our study will provide empirical turbulence model choice,but to some extent,provide a theoretical reference for the optimization of a centrifugal pump.The specific work carried out in this paper are as follows:(i)We have established a full three-dimensional centrifugal water flow channel model based on the Centrifugal Figure 2D CAD wooden mold and the three-dimensional modeling software UG.The main components of the water model include:water body,impeller vanes,blades,vanes,and then we import the over current parts into ICEM and meshing.(ii)We need to set the boundary conditions for the turbine components in the CFX-pre Module,Then We import it into CFX-post and carry on the process or the three-dimensional flow field simulation based on the four kinds of turbulence models.Finally,we can get the end result of a three-dimensional flow field five points under different conditions and find the optimal relative turbulence model.(iii)We will compare the simulation results with the experimental data under different conditions.Finally,we list the pressure distribution,velocity distribution of the centrifugal pump under optimal turbulence model.Our work not only accumulate experience on how to choose the turbulence models,but also it can provide a reference for the optimizing the performance of the centrifugal pump.
