Under the condition of market economy,material production capacity has been greatly improved and the global commercial competition is becoming increasingly fierce.Most products manufacturers and sellers want their products more popular,so they are very focused on the product packaging design and decoration effect.Therefore,more and more people have reached a consensus,the product packaging is the chief marketing master of product,and packaging design become the largest portion design in addition to the design of the product itself occupying a more and more important role.More and more commodity producers and packers had profound awareness of the importance to the commodities color design.It also allows applications with a large number of color packaging has largely replaced the early single color of packaging design.The commodity has the use value,and the commodity packaging itself also has the use value,therefore the package itself becomes another kind of commodity.The role of packaging design is not only to protect the product and convey information,but also be able to complete self marketing.Packaging design effected by a variety of factors,including text,color,pattern,shape,printing process,material,storage,sales environment,etc.This paper will focus on the psychological feeling of the color factor in the packaging design.In order to achieve the above objectives,the author adopts the literature survey method,field survey method,deductive reasoning method,etc.,made actual observation and statistics in the large supermarket,product stores,printing factory and design workshop,got the delicate relationship between color and people's psychological feeling,and finally come to the conclusion that the development trend of the application of color in packaging design.Firstly,the paper confirmed the significance and the emphasis of this paper,then got the functional significance of the color psychological sense in the packaging design are obtained.Then,through the case of the market products,obtained the importance of packaging design.I analyzes the color sensation in the psychological sense,including color and space sense,color and sense of taste,color and time,color and sense of hearing.Then through the explanation of the color design and color characteristic(hue,purity,brightness),I put emphasis on the analysis of the classification of packaging color in people's psychological feeling,obtains the important role of psychological feeling of color in packaging design.Next,through observation and thinking about numerous product packaging in shopping malls,I summed up the defects of packaging design packaging color design particularly,that is color monotonous,color collocation similarity and color design and product functional disconnection.Finally,aimed at these disadvantages,I summed up the significance of psychological feeling of color in packaging design art performance,business trends,differentiated positioning.
