The Apporach And Methods Based On Ecological Rehabilitation Of Floodplain Of Xiangshan Stream Regulation Project In Pingdingshan

Urban river construction project,oriented by traditional hydraulic Engineering is restricting urbanization of china.The contradiction between river habitat and construction land,flood safety and river landscape,polluting emission and self?purification capacity of river are the constraints of every city in China.Through the discussion of physical form of the river and the feasibility of building the natural habitat in urban land,this article suggests that the ecological rehabilitation of floodplain is the critical path of a river regulation project.The missing floodplain of the river causes the embankment restricting the form and the habitat of the river.Besides,the embankment hinder the periodic flooding,causes the situation that the river should drain the flood as soon as possible.Eventually,the river becomes the drainage channel of the flood and also loses its ecological functions during the low water period.Through the analysis of excellent engineering designs all over the world and the planning and designs of the Xiangshan Stream ecological rehabilitation Project,this article suggests the necessity and the feasibility of the planning of ecological rehabilitation in urban areas.From the greatest restoration of the river form to the least building the habitat of the river,this article presents the ecological rehabilitation of floodplain being the critical and irreplaceable part of a river regulation project and hopes more and more projects can take the ecological rehabilitation of floodplain to its part.
